Dr. Mélise Ouellette, Psychologist
Dr. Mélise Ouellette is a licensed clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. She received her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from McMaster University and completed her predoctoral residency at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, where she provided psychological services across various outpatient clinics including the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP), Traumatic Stress Clinic, and First Responders Mental Health Program. Prior to this, she trained at various clinics within St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, primarily in the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic and the Youth Wellness Centre. Dr. Ouellette currently holds a position as a clinical consultant and psychologist at Ontario Shores in the OSP, which is a publicly funded program primarily serving people with mood and anxiety-related concerns.
Dr. Ouellette primarily works with adults with anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic), obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (e.g., OCD, skin picking), illness anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, as well as other concerns (e.g., stress, self-esteem). She provides cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and integrates other evidence-based approaches (e.g., dialectical behaviour therapy skills) to tailor treatment as needed. She strives to foster a non-judgemental and collaborative space to support clients in reaching their wellness goals. Her practice is also inclusive of diverse backgrounds, cultures, sexual and gender identities, and abilities.
