Dr. Ivana Marcincinova
Ivana Marcincinova has completed her Ph.D. in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology at the University of Guelph and is currently beginning her supervised practice year. She completed her clinical residency at the Waterloo Region Psychology Consortium (WRPC), where she provided assessment and treatment services for children and adolescents at Lutherwood and the Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Marcincinova also received clinical training at Hamilton Health Sciences, the Toronto Region District School Board, and the Centre for Psychological Services at the University of Guelph. In addition, she has worked in local private practices, providing assessments and individual and group therapy for children, adolescents, and their families.
Dr. Marcincinova offers psychological treatment to children and young adults (ages 6–22) presenting with a range of mental health and behavioural concerns. She draws on various evidence-based therapeutic approaches—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each client and their family. Ivana takes a strength-based, collaborative approach to therapy, creating a supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals facing emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties, developmental disorders, anxiety, mood-related challenges and trauma.
