Dr. Andrea Markovic, Psychologist
Dr. Andrea Markovic is a licensed Clinical and Health Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Brock University. Dr. Markovic is concurrently employed at the Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) where she provides assessment, consultation, and therapy services to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
Dr. Markovic has trained and worked in diverse settings across the United States and Canada including university clinics, outpatient hospital and day treatment programs, and community mental health agencies. She completed her clinical residency and supervised practice at London Health Sciences Centre and The Hospital for Sick Children.
Dr. Markovic specializes in providing assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults for a range of psychological concerns including anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, developmental trauma, disturbances in attachment, interpersonal difficulties, eating disorders, and neurodevelopmental conditions. While her therapeutic approach is guided by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, she tends to incorporate elements of other evidence-based treatment techniques such as Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy to individualize care to the unique needs of her clients. Dr. Markovic is particularly interested in working with youth and adults who are struggling with anxiety, low mood, interpersonal difficulties, poor body image, and eating-related concerns.
