How to pair Smart Key Nano to VT Series?

IMPORTANT Be sure to follow all steps to pair Smart Key. First pair the remote to your safe, then assign entry mode.

1 of 2: Pair Remote to your Safe

1) Press and hold the ‘5’ key then “PROGRAM” button together (3 seconds) until all status bar LEDs blink RED.

2) Aim remote at safe and press. Smart Key Nano has a single press. If the lights on the status bar glow GREEN and beeps, the Smart Key is paired successfully; if all the lights on the status bar blink RED, the Smart Key failed to pair. In this case, simply start over with step one.

2 of 2: Assign an Entry Mode

1) After pairing you can toggle entry modes from the keypad or Bluetooth app. To toggle from the keypad press and hold the ‘6’ key then “PROGRAM” button together. The keys will communicate as directed.

OFF – Keys Turn Solid RED

Progressive Entry Mode – Keys Blink Green
Safe goes into sleep mode and will require you to wake up the safe before using Smart Key. You can wake up the safe by pressing any key or brushing your hand across the keypad of the safe (backlit keys will turn RED).

On Demand Entry Mode – Keys Solid Green
This mode grants immediate access to your safe without having to wake it up.
Warning: On Demand Entry Mode can open a safe in another room and/or out of sight. To reduce the risk of an unattended open safe we recommend using Progressive Entry Mode.

How to pair Smart Key Nano to MX Series?

IMPORTANT Be sure to follow all steps to pair Smart Key. First pair the remote to your safe, then assign entry mode.

1 of 2: Pair Remote to your Safe

1) Press and hold the ‘5’ key then “PROGRAM” button together (3 seconds) until the LCD screen indicates connecting.

2) Press the remote button and aim at safe. Smart Key Nano has a single press. If the screen indicates complete and beeps, the Smart Key is paired successfully; if the screen indicates failed to pair then simply start over with step one.

2 of 2: Assign an Entry Mode

1) After pairing you can toggle entry modes from the keypad or Bluetooth app. To toggle from the keypad press and hold the ‘6’ key then “PROGRAM” button together. The LCD screen will indicate the selected mode.

1 of 2: Pair Remote to your Safe

1) Press and hold the ‘3’ key then “PROGRAM” button together (3 seconds) until all keys blink RED.

2) Aim remote at safe and press. Smart Key Nano has a single press. If the lights on the safe turn GREEN, the fob is paired successfully; if all the lights on the safe blink RED, the fob failed to pair. In this case, simply start over with step one.

1) After pairing you can toggle entry modes from the keypad or Bluetooth app. To toggle from the keypad press and hold the ‘4’ key then “PROGRAM” button together. The keys will communicate as directed.

Unable to pair Smart Key Nano to my safe.

IMPORTANT Smart Key Nano is compatible with VT Series (VT/VTi), MX Series (MX/MXi) and Slider Series (SL20/SL20i). It is not compatible with 10 Series (VE10, VR10, VT10i), 20 Series (VE20, VT20, VT20i), and Essential Series models (VE10, VE20, VE, SE20).

B. Assign an entry mode.

IMPORTANT If you do not assign an entry mode immediately after pairing the Smart Key will disable when the safe goes to sleep. This occurs when the safe has been idle for 20 seconds,

Smart Key Nano is compatible with VT Series (VT/VTi), MX Series (MX/MXi) and Slider Series (SL20/SL20i).

Smart Key Nano is not compatible with 10 Series (VE10, VR10, VT10i), 20 Series (VE20, VT20, VT20i), and Essential Series models (VE10, VE20, VE, SE20).
