PRP Therapy
PRP- short for Platelet Rich Plasma – is a treatment that uses the body’s own healing abilities to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate hair growth. PRP is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from your own whole blood, centrifuged to remove red blood cells.
Plasma is then injected into the skin in order to stimulate the growth of cells such as hair follicles and collagen for skin rejuvenation. Common treatments include cheeks, foreheads, crow’s feet, smile lines, and nasolabial folds.
Due to the fact the platelets come from your own blood, there is no risk of disease transmission from a PRP treatment. This process has been popularized by celebrities as the ‘vampire facial’ and is safe and effective.
BENEFITS OF PRP THERAPY:
- • Softens the appearance of hollows and dark circles beneath the eye
- • Rejuvenates the appearance of the skin
- • Stimulates hair growth
- • Rejuvenates crepey skin on the décolleté
- • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
- • Rejuvenates aging skin
- • Enhances skin texture
- • Non-surgical rejuvenation treatment
- • Natural-looking results
- • Long-lasting effect
Often will often combine PRP with other treatments such as laser rejuvenation, microneedling and Botox and Fillers (such as JUVÉDERM®, RESTYLANE®, BELOTERO and TEOSYAL®), as they work synergistically and produce excellent results.

- WHAT TO EXPECT:
The PRP treatment takes 1-2 hours. Our nurse will take a few vials of your blood (hence the nickname ‘vampire facial’) and after a filtering process is performed, we will reintroduce the PRP into the desired treatment areas.
The area may be swollen and tender immediately following the treatment. Bruising is a possibility. After a PRP treatment, you can expect the restoration of lost volume and minimization of fine lines on the skin. For stimulation of hair growth we recommend 4 sessions.
