Chemical Peels
Chemical peels use natural acids to improve skin texture and tone. They are available in a variety of strengths depending upon the condition being treated.
Chemical peels are a controlled treatment that effectively removes damaged layers of the skin. The old damaged cells are replaced by new healthy cells which renews your complexion, clarity and skin vitality.
Peels are generally used in addition to a regular skin care routine. They can be repeated regularly as a skin care maintenance treatment or as a skin brightening treatment for a special event.
CHEMICAL PEELS CAN BE USED TO:
- • Reduce appearance of age spots and freckles
- • Reduce acne including whitehead and blackheads
- • Lessen fine lines of the face
- • Reduce hyper-pigmentation from sun damage
- • Improve skin texture reducing signs of aging
- • Remove precancerous lesions called actinic keratoses
- WHAT TO EXPECT:
The amount of peeling and side effects depends on the strength of the peel. With milder facial peels, redness and swelling are minor, therefore typically there is no downtime. With stronger peels, redness could last for up to 4-7 days.
